The teaser campaign for the latest Geely crossover has reached the finish line: a corporate image of the interior has been published, in addition, several fresh shots have appeared showing the exterior. Recall that the brand itself still calls its SUV the intrafactory index FX11. But here's what's curious: the Chinese media have returned to the previously discarded idea that the SUV will be positioned as the next generation Boyue (in Russia, the current crossover is called Atlas Pro). If this is true, then the new model may get a prefix to the name (the Chinese pronounce the letter L). However, there is another version: they say, the crossover will be a completely new separate Xingyao model.

In the appearance of the Geely FX11, the motifs of last year's Vision Starburst concept can be traced (head optics and taillights are similarly designed), and inside the serial crossover almost literally repeated that prototype (at least in the picture). The SUV received a similar two-spoke steering wheel, a virtual “tidy”, a central tunnel and a box joystick. Well, the main “feature” of the cabin is a large vertical touchscreen of the multimedia system, which, in fact, replaced the familiar center console.

The new crossover is built on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, created by Geely together with Volvo (the Swedish brand belongs to the Chinese auto giant). This “trolley” also underlies the Geely Xingyue L flagship SUV (in Russia it is expected under the name Monjaro), the Xingyue cross-coupe (we have it Tugella), the Preface sedan, most of the cars of the Lynk & Co brand (a joint project of Geely and Volvo) and Volvo XC40. We know the dimensions of the FX11 thanks to the July "drain" of the Chinese Ministry of Industry: the length of the model is 4670 mm, width - 1900 mm, height - 1705 mm, wheelbase - 2777 mm. That is, in the line of the brand, the novelty will be located between Boyue X (length - 4544 mm, distance between axles - 2670 mm) and Xingyue L (4770 and 2845 mm, respectively).

Geely FX11 will be offered with petrol "turbo" 1.5 (181 hp) and 2.0 (218 hp). And the model will have a hybrid version. Most likely, the installation of such a cross was inherited from the Geely Xingyue L and Lynk & Co 01 platform: it includes a 1.5 petrol three-cylinder engine (150 hp), which is capable of operating on the Miller economy cycle, a motor-generator and a traction electric motor. The cumulative return of hybrid relatives is 245 hp. The system can operate in serial or parallel modes. It is still unknown whether all-wheel drive is provided for the novelty.

The world premiere of Geely FX11 will take place on August 5th. The crossover will probably be exported, but after it has mastered the home market: therefore, the model will reach other countries no earlier than next year.
